Sell with a Deposit

Selling with Mount Vida is flexible to handle various payment scenarios.  One of the payment policies allows for 2 installment payments, one deposit payment at the time of purchase and a second installment prior to the start of the activity.  

1. Setting up installment payments is like any other offering, except that you are setting up a Most Flexible payment policy under the Payment & Cancellation section of the offering editor.  For more information regarding how to set up an offering, see Add a New Offering.

2.  When using the Most Flexible payment methodology, you will be required to provide the deposit amount (% of total) for the deposit payment.  The balance due will then be calculated automatically.

     Example:3.  You will also be required to set the Cancellation Policy for this payment methodology.  The cancellation policy requires you to set a Cancellation Period that ends a specified number of days before the start of your activity.  Cancellations during the Cancellation Period will be subject to the specified cancellation fee.

4.  When an Installment Payment offering is published online for sale, the customer will see a Payment Policy section at the time of booking that clearly defines the respective Payment Policy.  Likewise, any balance due will be tracked, paid, and updated automatically with the invoice and in the reservation dashboard of your business portal.  

5.  In addition, email confirmations are sent at the time of purchase and again with the second installment payment.
